Today, since Patton had school, it was Carolina Mommy day. We went and bought Miss Elise a gift, got some things monogrammed, made dinner for our big ole' familia, as well as some other familias, and wore a tutu the entire time.
Why a tutu? Because every day is a tutu day.

Patton has kept mommy up for 4 nights straight coughing and hacking and being ornery in general. Usually after he has his esophagus dilated, he gets a cough. The lack of sleep is wearing on both of us....but when I go in there at 2 am and he lays his little hand on me....well, who could be frustrated?
The bean is also having a hard time sharing at the moment. He likes little collections of things: Spoons, cups, blocks, and in today's case...teething rings. He got the whole bag of teething rings. Because he saw sister coming after them and knew he couldn't carry them all, he started loading them onto his arms, in his mouth, etc.
When I try to get him to give her just 1, he'll throw another toy of lesser interest her way and call it out like "ca-la-la, CHOO CHOO!"...but she's not fooled. She's too smart for that. She only wants what brother has.
Coughing+sleep deprivation+ornery babies=mommy's glass of wine tonight.
This too shall pass!!!
Hey Sarah
ReplyDeleteI don't envy you. I remember those day to well.
You are great and have two healthy, normal kids.
Love you all.
