Backyard Safari

Today we went to the Bayou Wildife Park. http://www.bayouwildlifepark.com/ We had no idea the welcome wagon at the gate would be several Emu...one of them stretched his head up and tried to stick it in the window to see the Bean! I rolled up the window quickly and he started pecking at it.

They were funny birds! Huge!

This picture was at Sugar Bean, after we were hot and sweaty. We stopped in to the AC to have lunch.

On the Safari, gear to match. We saw every animal on Patton's shirt!

The camels...they came right up and ate food out of our buckets. There was a sign on one of the trees that said "Camelot"...I liked that.

Patton looking at the enormous bulls and deer running by. He liked standing with his hands holding the seat, facing out and looking at all the animals.

At the end of the ride, there was a petting zoo. They had goats and a huge fat pig who was asleep and covered in flies. Ewwww...we didn't disturb him. However, this gentle giant was next door. What a cool day!
