Here's the thing with kiddos...just when you think you have them down and schedules are perfect as a pixie, they throw a big ole' wrench in your motor. Seriously. The Bean keeps his mommy and daddy on their toes all the time. If he's not trying to eat paper, or tape, or bottles, or anything else unedible, he's getting Veggie Puffs stuck in his throat.
That's right...harmless wee little veggie puffs. The other day after our chunky monkey refused his bottle all day (not like him, as evidence by his rotund legs and cheeks) we took him to see his surgeon. Sure enough, he found not one, but two of these little puffs covering the opening to the Bean's throat. He was kind enough to take a picture of them and show it to us.
At leat it wasn't a can, or a peice of my jewlery, or a shoe...if he could eat a shoe, he would.
After they dilated his esophagus a bit, we were sent on his way. While Patton was a tired munchkin yesterday, he is happier today and has eaten again. And here we thought it was attitude that made him not want his bottle. I'm not convinced that didn't have a lil' something to do with it....
