Today was a sad day. The boys came to take the trees (that hurricane Ike destroyed) out of our front yard, finally. Those big ole' oak trees are now saw dust. Reminds me of that song....

We quickly recovered from our sadness, as we've been saying goodbye to these ole dawgs for a long time. They have served us well and we'll miss them, but time to move on to greener pastures...literally. New landscaping to come!!!

After all is said and done. At this very moment, my house feels like it's in an earthquake, only it's just the Backhoe running into the stumps to loosen them up.
While all this was going on, I must mention the fact that the girls scouts, who usually wake us up every weekend with their singing and giggling and running amuck next door, were woken up by OUR chainsaws.
Was it ugly that Carolina and I were doing the "eh-heh" dance around our counter while Patton was at the window flirting with them? The little traitor. Take THAT girlscouts. That's what you get for not coming by our house with cookies.
